Maine Cedar Log Moose Company LLC.
Sculpture design by Nathan Nipula
Our copyrighted, one-of-a-kind style, 16 piece cedar log moose sculptures are branded with a "Maine Cedar Log Moose" TM logo. They are made from some of the most dangerous & labor intensive (cut-for-cut) woodworking techniques in the world! The little critters are also chainsawed with a vegetable oil base bar & chain oil for safer handling vs standard petroleum oil base bar & chain oils.

In this description, we try to cover all questions or concerns that might arise.
ALL Products sold through Maine Cedar Log Moose Company LLC. are a "use at your own risk" item and our business holds no responsibility on consumer uses for the products. Our sculptures are intended for display use.

Sealing unfinished outdoor log decor with multiple coats of spar urethane etc. may prolong the life of the product when exposed to the outdoor elements.
Checking/cracking can occur across the growth rings as it dries or seasons. In most cases, it will not affect the structural integrity and may enhance the beauty of the piece. If you display any wood products outdoors with no cover, it will "weather" and turn grey. The traditional bark-on log moose may release the bark over time if left outside in the elements. Regardless of use, our cedar log moose sculptures can last for many years outdoors with little to no maintenance..

Keep in mind that we use fresh cedar from the north woods of Maine. We do not treat the wood/bark (on our traditional style moose). We inspect the wood/bark before fabrication of the moose for any issues the best we can, and inspect the moose to make sure they are structurally sound before they are sold. Any product that comes from the outdoors has the potential to contain, mold or fungus spores. Food grade white vinegar can be used to help eliminate most fungus/mold on wood products.
If you live outside of the gypsy moth quarantine area, your moose will be fully inspected for gypsy moths/eggs before shipment.
